Jack Walkenhorst, DVM, Diplomate Emeritus, ABVP
Dr. Jack Walkenhorst’s career as a veterinarian spans more than 35 years and took him from Ohio to New England and back again to his hometown of Cincinnati. Before retiring from active practice, Dr. Walkenhorst served as the Regional Medical Director for VCA Animal Hospitals from 2004-2013.
Dr. Walkenhorst is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut and the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He obtained diplomate status in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners by meeting the ABVP’s rigorous education and training standards.
A member of the Board of Directors of the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association since 2005, Dr. Walkenhorst joined the Board of Directors of Pets In Need of Greater Cincinnati in 2016. He works weekly at PIN and leverages his comprehensive knowledge and expertise to improve the lives of our clients and their beloved pets.
Dr. Walkenhorst lives in Lebanon with his two cats, Verbal and Django (aka Mr. Itchy Whiskers).
